Daybase

Daybase is a network of professional-grade, on-demand coworking spots located in Hoboken, NJ and Westchester, NY backed by an exceptional team of ex-WeWork executives and leading VC firms and investors. With quality work spaces “close to home,” it completes the hybrid work ecosystem workers are demanding in the past years.

I came along with Monica Brouwer, founder of Guest Star, in this project. We previously worked together for other brands like Supergoop! and Casper before she joined Daybase as the Head of Marketing. I was her Digital Designer/Art Director then, and I became Daybase’s Independent Designer/Consultant. I helped the company build and grow through my designs — from its launch, to its first New York Times exposure, to helping design and build investor pitch decks, until it grew from one to two locations — I’ve seen how committed and exemplary the team is. This is definitely one of the projects I’d never forget.

Website Design

In my early days working with Guest Star, I was tasked to pitch my own proposed website design for Daybase. With the help of one of my trusted UX designers, Gillian Zwengler, we translated this on Figma, and the team loved it. Since then, the Daybase account was assigned to me, and the rest is history.

Email Design

These are just two of the many email designs I created for Daybase. Each design comes with a desktop and mobile version, along with all the native files used during the process.

I worked with Daybase’s developer and we collaborated in making sure all the buttons, fonts, colors, among other things, work, and the message is clear and readable in all devices, even in dark mode.

Designing emails are tricky — it’s one thing to catch the viewer’s attention, and another to keep them reading, thus, avoiding anything that will add any distraction.

I churn at least three (3) designs per week, and this consumed most of my time working with Daybase, along with social media assets. One can say it’s stressful, but it was definitely fulfilling.

Social Media

I couldn’t emphasize enough how sometimes taxing it could be to be designing social media assets day in and day out, but I’d be lying if I’d say I never enjoyed doing it.

It takes a village to produce quality organic and paid Instagram, LinkedIn, Spotify, and Google ads. I worked with copywriters, strategists, and developers, and it was such an amazing time. Every day, I would learn something new, and it contributed greatly to my personal and professional growth as a designer.
